Daily Ordo

About Daily Ordo

Daily Ordo is a Catholic devotional resource: today's saint, today's Mass readings, today's place in the liturgical year, and the prayers that have shaped Catholic devotion for two thousand years. The site is brand-led. There is no individual author. There is no fake clergy persona. There is no claim to spiritual direction.

What this site is

A reference. The Catholic Church publishes an Ordo each year for the clergy that lists, day by day, the proper liturgy, the saint's feast, and the readings of the day. This site is the lay reader's version of that same idea, adapted for the web.

What this site is not

Not a substitute for the parish, not a replacement for the sacraments, not a confessional, not a spiritual director, not a clergy-authored blog, and not a chatbot. Catholic readers who need pastoral counsel should seek a priest. Daily Ordo is a research-and-reference layer, not a ministry.

Editorial approach

Every theological claim on the site is cited to a primary Catholic source. The sources we draw from:

We do not cite Wikipedia as primary, and we do not invent quotes or attributions. Every direct quote on the site is a verbatim substring of its named source. A nightly job re-validates citations on the published site.

Imagery

All religious artwork on the site is public domain, drawn from Wikimedia Commons, the Met Museum Open Access collection, the Vatican Museums, and the Catholic Encyclopedia illustrations. The Catholic tradition of sacred art, from Caravaggio and Murillo to Fra Angelico and the medieval illuminators, gives us a deep well to draw from. Every image carries an attribution caption naming the artist, work, date, and collection.

What we send by email

Two opt-in newsletters: a daily Saint of the Day, and per-novena 9-day reminder sequences when you sign up to pray a specific novena. Both are double opt-in. Unsubscribe is one click. We do not sell your email and we do not share lists.

Affiliate disclosure

Daily Ordo participates in affiliate programs from the Hallow prayer app, The Catholic Company, Amazon Associates, and select Catholic devotional product suppliers. When you buy through links on this site, we earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Every affiliate link is marked as such and uses appropriate rel attributes per Google and FTC guidance. See the full affiliate disclosure.
