Day 9: The universal Marian invitation

Day 9 closes the novena with the universal Marian invitation extended at Lourdes.

Mary's universal call

The Lourdes apparitions were not given for one Catholic alone but for the whole Church and the whole world. The novena closes by extending the petitioner's prayer to that universal scope: for the Church, for the world, for the sick, for sinners, and for the petitioner's own perseverance.

Prayer

Mary of Lourdes, draw the whole world to your Son. Make me an instrument of this drawing. At the hour of my death, receive me as your child. Amen.

Conclude with one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be. The novena is now complete.
