Day 1: The Annunciation and the founding of the Holy Family

The first day attends to the moment the Holy Family began: Mary's fiat at the Annunciation.

Catholic family life is founded on a free consent. Mary said fiat at the angelic announcement, and from that moment the Holy Family existed in the womb of the Blessed Virgin. The same fiat is asked of every Catholic spouse, parent, and child: free consent to the family God has given.

Holy Family of Nazareth, by the fiat of the Virgin Mary that brought you into being, bless our family. Help us to say fiat to the family God has given us. Amen.
