Day 7: The Finding in the Temple

The seventh day attends to the moment when the boy Jesus was lost and found in the Temple at age twelve.

When children separate from the faith

The boy Jesus was not separated from God; he was about his Father's business. But Mary and Joseph experienced three days of fear and searching. Catholic parents who watch their adult children drift from the Catholic faith have a model in this scene: the parents who searched, who suffered, who finally found.

Prayer

Holy Family, by the Finding in the Temple, bring back to the Catholic faith the members of our family who have wandered. Restore them to the practice of the sacraments and to the unity of our family in Christ. Amen.
