Day 6: The hidden life at Nazareth

The sixth day attends to the thirty years of hidden life at Nazareth, the longest portion of Christ's earthly existence.

The ordinary Catholic family

Most Catholic family life is hidden, ordinary, and unwitnessed by the world. The thirty years at Nazareth sanctify this hidden faithfulness. Christ chose to spend the great majority of his earthly life in the ordinary patterns of a Catholic working family.

Prayer

Holy Family of Nazareth, sanctify the ordinary days of our own family life. The school runs, the meals, the routines: may they be the matter of our sanctification, as the years at Nazareth were the matter of yours. Amen.
