Mary, Queen of Carmel

The Catholic Church celebrates the Solemnity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on July 16, the anniversary of the 1251 apparition to Saint Simon Stock. The Marian title Queen of Carmel expresses her sovereignty over the spiritual mountain on which her religious family is built.
