Day 8: A holy old age

The eighth day attends to Saint Anne's witness to a holy old age.

The Catholic elder

Saint Anne lived into old age, raised the Blessed Virgin Mary into womanhood, and died known for her holiness. Her example honors the elderly in the Catholic Church.

Prayer

Saint Anne, you who lived into a holy old age, obtain for us the same grace. May our final years be a time of growing in love, not in bitterness. Amen.
