Day 2: The merciful gaze
The second day attends to Saint Faustina's call to see every person with the merciful gaze of Christ.
To see as Christ sees
Saint Faustina wrote in her Diary: "I want to look at every soul with the eyes of Jesus." The Christian formed by Divine Mercy does not condemn first; the merciful gaze sees the suffering, the wounds, the broken hope before it sees the sin.
Prayer
Saint Faustina, teach me your way of seeing. Help me to look at my family, my coworkers, the strangers I pass, with the merciful gaze of Christ. Free me from the habit of judgment. Make me an instrument of His mercy. Amen.
Conclude with one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be.
