The Saint Faustina Novena

Day 4: The Divine Mercy Chaplet

The fourth day attends to the Catholic devotion Saint Faustina received from Christ and transmitted to the universal Church: the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

The Chaplet

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is prayed on standard rosary beads. After an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Apostles' Creed, the petitioner prays on each large bead: "Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world." On each of the ten small beads: "For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world." The chaplet takes approximately seven minutes.

Prayer

Saint Faustina, you who received this prayer from the Heart of Christ for the salvation of souls, draw me to its daily practice. May the chaplet become for me the act of mercy I offer each day in atonement for sin. Amen.

Conclude with one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be.
