Day 8: Fidelity to vocation
The eighth day attends to Saint Faustina's perseverance in her religious vocation, despite illness and the lack of public recognition.
Fidelity to one's calling
Catholic vocation is not the sum of dramatic graces; it is the unbroken thread of daily fidelity to what one has been called. Saint Faustina, in her religious vows and her secret commission from Christ, was faithful in both even when faithful meant not seeing fruit.
Prayer
Saint Faustina, intercede for me in my own vocation, whether to marriage, religious life, the priesthood, or the single state. Help me to be faithful when my calling is difficult. Let me not abandon what God has given me. Amen.
Conclude with one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be.
