The Saint Maximilian Kolbe Novena
Day 2: The Immaculate Conception
The second day meditates on the Catholic dogma of the Immaculate Conception, the title under which Saint Maximilian most often addressed the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Immaculata
Saint Maximilian followed the Marian apparitions at Lourdes (1858), where the Blessed Virgin identified herself to Saint Bernadette as "I am the Immaculate Conception." For Saint Maximilian, this self-identification revealed Mary's deepest identity: pure from the first moment of her conception, free of every stain of original sin.
Prayer
O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you. Help me, your unworthy servant, to live and die in your friendship. Amen.
Conclude with one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be.
