Day 6: The shamrock and the Trinity

Day 6 attends to Patrick's traditional catechesis of the Trinity using the three-leaf shamrock.

Three in one

The shamrock, an Irish plant, has three leaves on one stem. Patrick is said to have used it to teach the Trinitarian Catholic doctrine to the Irish: one God in three Persons.

Prayer

Saint Patrick, deepen my faith in the Trinity. Help me to live each day in the Catholic awareness of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
