Day 7 attends to the Lorica Sancti Patricii, the Breastplate prayer attributed to Patrick.

Christus mecum

The Lorica is a long prayer of protection invoking Christ in every aspect of daily life: 'Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left...' It is one of the great Catholic prayers of the medieval Irish tradition.

Saint Patrick, give me the Lorica's confidence in Christ's protection. Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me. Amen.
