Day 4: The Presentation in the Temple

The fourth day attends to Mary and Joseph's obedience in presenting the infant Jesus at the Temple.

The family under God's law

The Holy Family submitted to the Mosaic law that required the presentation of the firstborn. The Catholic family is sanctified by submission to the laws of God and the discipline of the Catholic Church (the Sacraments, the moral law, the duties of state).

Prayer

Holy Family, by the Presentation, sanctify our family by obedience. May we submit our family life to the law of Christ and the teaching of His Church. Amen.
